Upcoming Cirque Du Science Camp offers up educational fun

Williamson County children ages 5-12 are in for an educational treat on Jan. 2 and 4 when Cirque Du Science Camp visits the Williamson County Recreation Complex in Nolensville.

The event is geared toward parents looking to keep the kids busy during winter break.

From 8:30-11:30, children will spend time with Mr. Bond’s Science Guys and learn the science behind circus feats. Each child participant will even have a chance to learn and perform the feats themselves. No prior skill is required.

According to Mr. Bond’s Science Guys’ website, the camp allows for comprehensive, hands-on science programs that teach children one science theme at a time.

“Our science camps inspire a lifelong enthusiasm for science and learning and teach creative problem-solving skills, teamwork, and perseverance in a fun, kid friendly setting,” Mr. Bond’s Science Guys’ website states.

Included activities are juggling, plate spinning, balance activities and more. Each child will make their own juggling balls to take home.

Cost for the camp is $111 and the registration code is #13481. To register, visit www.wcparksandrec.com. For questions, contact Erin at Erin.Williams@williamsoncounty-tn.gov or call (615) 786-0200.
