Housatonic River Job Network to meet

ORANGE — The Housatonic River Job Network will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road.

Hamden senior services program gains accreditation

HAMDEN — The Thrive at Home program of Whitney Center recently was accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, according to a release.

“Thrive at Home is the only ‘life care at home’ program in the country with this accreditation,” executive director Michelle M. Pandolfi said in the release.

Thrive at Home is a town-based health and wellness membership program that helps senior citizens remain healthy and independent in their own homes, offering members long-term personal care and any necessary services, at whatever level of membership they may have, the release said. “A team of Personal Service Partners are ready to assist members with virtually any need, including helping them navigate the health care system, arranging for care” and other tasks, according to the release.

College Planning USA expands enrollment process

College Planning USA, with headquarters in West Hartford, has begun using the bswift platform, according to a release. Bswift is a provider of cloud-based technology and benefits administration services for online enrollement, and College Planning USA will allow families to enroll in the college planning program through bswift.

“College Planning USA provides their college planning program to families of high school age, college-bound students, helping them find the best colleges for their students based on academic, social financial fit,” according to the release.

MILFORD — The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business After Hours networking event from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 5 at The Milford Bank, 33 Broad St.

Women Redefining Retirement to meet

MILFORD — Women Redefining Retirement will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at Golden Hill Rehabilitation Pavilion, 2028 Bridgeport Ave.

This month, members will assemble festive headbands for the holiday season, while singing along to holiday carols. Monetary donations will be collected to benefit Boys and Girls Village. Food donations will benefit the Milford Senior Center.
